Yes, if you desire. When you create a CN account, you receive a unique CN number that you own and that always remains with you, even if you change institutions or professions. The courses in CN are not deleted, even after they end. Course sites and membership accounts are set to remain active indefinitely for archival purposes, at the time being. However, in the future, CN may remove courses that have been inactive for long periods of time.
Yes. The CN business plan includes free member accounts, full LMS functionality, and hosting--the only company providing all of this on the market. Planned revenue streams include MOOC hosting and services, automated account creation services, LMS integration, and professional announcement services (i.e. targeted advertisements for MBA programs on your campus or conference announcements).
